Welcome to my inaugural blog post! I like when blogs have introductory posts, so here we are. I wanted to give a quick overview of my motivations behind starting this blog and how I intend to contribute to it over time. It’s pretty short and sweet, really. However, it also gave me an excuse to use one of my favorite Latin phrases as an article title.
Speaking of titles, I’ll explain the blog title itself. It’s pretty simple, actually: I’m always lost in thought, and anyone reading this knows my favorite color is orange. I’ll probably dive deeper into those two things in later posts at some point, but for now, that’s how Lost In Orange Thought was coined (and how about that assonance?).
I want to use this blog as a sort of distillation of my thoughts and experiences. I’ve always wanted somewhere more public and permanent to explore my feelings and interests. There won’t be any set post schedule or theme, rather just a guy and his ramblings and his research and his retellings of stories that his friends have heard a thousand times but probably in a way more fragmented and informal fashion. Some things I post about may be currently unknown to anyone altogether. Ooh…how mysterious.
I also think this would be an appropriate time to shout out my best friend Aiden who helped with the backend setup and structuring of this site. Without him, I would have probably pulled a lot more hair out trying to do everything myself. You can check out his own blog at blog.atmanos.com (and please hound him to make more posts because they are always bangers and it’s been a year).
So without further ado, feel free to join me in getting Lost In Orange Thought!
